Allison Davis Ward, CPA, CISSP, CISA, CISM

Allison joined the firm in 2006 and served as an IT audit intern throughout high school and college. After graduating from Louisiana State University in 2011, she committed full-time to the firm. Throughout her time as an information systems auditor, manager, and partner, Allison has provided information security assessment and consulting services for nonprofit organizations, financial institutions, health facilities, educational institutions, and a variety of other organizations. She stays current on changing threats to design review procedures to aid clients in implementing appropriate controls to protect against evolving cybersecurity threats. 

To remain current on trends and threats in various industries, Allison participates in several information-sharing groups and committees with the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA). She has assisted with various presentations and seminars for the Louisiana Bankers Association, the LCPA, and several other nonprofit and education-focused organizations.

 

Lindsey P. Whinnery, CPA, CISSP, CISA, CISM
Partner

Lindsey has 25 years of experience in the fields of information technology and information security. In the first half of her career, she focused on designing procedures to assess client environments against industry best practices and security frameworks. She has been instrumental in helping clients implement controls for protecting sensitive information, maintaining system integrity, and guarding against emerging cyber threats.

Lindsey’s skillset extends beyond cybersecurity. She has significant experience with designing and maintaining robust database structures, ensuring the integrity of data, and leveraging data analytics and other technologies to derive actionable insights used for strategic decision-making.

She also has a keen eye for process improvement and consistently evaluates processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. She is adept at designing and deploying low-code applications, incorporating automations, and integrating cloud platforms via APIs, and this has allowed her to rapidly develop and implement solutions to meet the unique needs of the organizations she supports.

Lindsey speaks on information security topics for various groups, including the AICPA, the Louisiana Bankers Association, and various state CPA societies.

 

Katie Herbert, CISSP, CISA, CISM
Senior Manager

Katie has over 15 years of banking technology experience and nearly eight years of information security auditing experience. Katie also manages our Vendor Due Diligence service. In addition, she has an extensive knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) rules and regulations and is the ACH specialist on staff. She stays current on changing threats and government regulations to better assist clients in protection against cybersecurity threats.

Prior to joining the firm, Katie worked for Resource Bank as the Manager of Electronic Banking, Information Technology, and Systems Support. During that time, she provided support for a number of areas, including Internet banking, debit/ATM cards, ACH, IRAs, HSAs, product development, and project management.

 

Kamilla Ben, CISSP, CISA, CISM
Manager

Kamilla joined CapinCrouse, the parent company of CapinTech, in 2012 after six years in an accounting and finance role with a nonprofit organization in Colorado Springs. This experience allows her to understand situations from both the client and audit perspective.

In 2017, Kamilla joined the CapinTech team and has focused on providing information security review services since that time. Kamilla is experienced at providing cybersecurity, audit, review, compilation, tax, and consulting services to a range of nonprofit clients.
